THE USUAL SUSPECTS
And now for the gossip!
My facebook was abuzz on Thursday morning asking me what had happened at the Dollhouse the night before!! Well it seems that during the usual closing number of "Party Girl" Omyra, Misty and Porcelain jumped up on the stage to join in on the choreographed dance!! When Aida's turn was up to do Mimi's rap Porcelain pushed her back so she couldn't take center stage!! Everyone saw it! GASP!! Oh no she didn't!! Will these two ever get along??

| Thanks Ryan for getting a pic!! |
Well I am anxious to see if some of these girls make a return (or maybe permanent) return to the Dollhouse!!

Cleo's live performance was absolutely amazing, as were all of the new girls who performed. Lady Poison is very sweet, kind, talented, and will definitely go far with her drag career. The ususal Dollstars Isis, Navaya, Satine, and Aida were all great like always. This is definitely the best drag show around, and by far the most well thought out and put together. Bravo to Mimi Imfurst.
ReplyDeleteLady Poison IS a talented queen! where has she been? But Aida has got to go! But we miss Olmyra, Misty, and Porcelain. When are they going to do something? The show is not the same without them!
ReplyDeleteThis drag community is small... honestly everyone needs to put differences and dislikes aside and just try to be civil and work along side each other. no queen "has to go" or sucks, or is talentless. Every queen in this city, new and seasoned alike, are all unique, talented, and wonderful. The hatred is sad and needs to stop. Philly drag, or any type of drag would be so boring if everyone had the same act, or look, or anything like that. Some people don't like Aida, and some people don't like Porcelain. And some people love them both! (Yes that is possible.) We get that not all queens are gonna be bff's or love each others styles but that doesn't mean they are bad people or performers. if the drama and dislike could stop, this drag comminuty could be the best fucking thing on the planet, because everyone would be united and beyond fierce. but someone has to take the first step. . .
ReplyDeleteCo workers do not have to love each other or even like each other, but there does have to be respect. Porcelain and Misty have NOT demonstrated that at ALL and Omyra only did this week by cheering for all the queens (while being on her phone) and did not cause any problems.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, if you are going to act like a child, you should be expected to be treated like one.
I believe that Mimi created the show to showcase all kinds of drag acts. She celebrates all of them, but if you are going to disrespect others then why would anyone support that. The Dollstars is like any other performing cast. The Pussycat Dolls helped to launch Nicole Scherzinger and when she left (whatever the reasons) she didn't go back and push someone else off stage that may be singing a song that SHE didn't even write. But she also doesn't go around still calling herself a Dollstar... she is trying to make a career for herself.
A professional is a professional, you won't go ANYWHERE in LIFE if you can not at least be professional in your work place.
Bottom line... the fallen stars need to get over themselves. If they are SOOOO amazing and everyone LOVES them SOOOO much the best revenge is to get your own show, not act like a child at the show you are no longer a part of.
While this drama is fun to get you through a brunch with your boyfriend and fodder for while you wait for the show to start... enough already ... let's just grow up...get drunk..and watch some drag. Just like everything in America you have the right to NOT give your money to a club if you don't want to see it... You HAVE a CHOICE.
It's unfortunate that there are so many people secretly commenting with such powerful opinions and then will probably kiss your cheek when they see you in public. Everyone is entitled to have strong views. I wish everyone would just get along and appreciate everyone's courage to get on a stage and making the attempt to entertain others.
ReplyDeleteWe as a community have more issues that should take precedence over frivolous banter
Let's go ahead and break this down since you obviously weren't there and have such a strong opinion about something you didn't witness-
ReplyDelete"Co workers do not have to love each other or even like each other, but there does have to be respect. Porcelain and Misty have NOT demonstrated that at ALL and Omyra only did this week by cheering for all the queens (while being on her phone) and did not cause any problems."
I show respect to my coworkers, and always have. I tip what I think deserves to be tipped in my own mind (it's called having an opinion), I clap for everyone, & I watch everyone. If I don't want to watch you, I walk away. If we aren't on the same payroll, we are NOT coworkers, we're peers. Come correct.
"That being said, if you are going to act like a child, you should be expected to be treated like one."
Since when have I acted like a child? I have not said anything negative in a public matter about anything or anyone in this whole matter, and have continued to go support my sisters who are still in the show. Sarcastic remarks don't count. If you're a drag queen and want to throw shade, read people, or be sarcastic to people in the audience all the time, make sure you can take it when it's thrown back at you.
"A professional is a professional, you won't go ANYWHERE in LIFE if you can not at least be professional in your work place."
I've already gone somewhere in life, and continue to go places.... Where are you, anonymous?
"Bottom line... the fallen stars need to get over themselves. If they are SOOOO amazing and everyone LOVES them SOOOO much the best revenge is to get your own show, not act like a child at the show you are no longer a part of."
I haven't fallen, I'm still standing on my own two feet... I'm still getting paid, matter of fact, I'm still getting paid and getting paid MORE than I have while being in the Dollhouse Revue. I go to see a show, the same reason you do. As far as "acting like a child" goes, see my response above. It's not being childish, I'm not throwing a tantrum during the show. I'm keeping things entertaining for myself and plenty of others since someone obviously can't do so without using the same jokes over and over.
"While this drama is fun to get you through a brunch with your boyfriend and fodder for while you wait for the show to start... enough already ... let's just grow up...get drunk..and watch some drag."
I think it's time you take your own advice, watch some drag, don't focus on anything else. You're choosing to focus on other things, which is why YOU are the one some caught up in it. I hate to bring it to your attention but if I dislike something, I don't pay attention to it. Oh look, just like when I said I walk away if I don't want to watch someone perform. Crazy how that all works out, isn't it?
"Just like everything in America you have the right to NOT give your money to a club if you don't want to see it... You HAVE a CHOICE."
I don't give any money to the club, so there's another example on where you need to sort out your facts, get smart, and come correct, anonymous shadow.
p.s. you have a choice as well. Stop getting wrapped up in something that doesn't involve you, and if it DOES involve you, it's your CHOICE to be an ADULT and not childish by making it known you're involved and want changes. Otherwise you're not going to fix anything, and just be an anonymous shadow like you already are.
Note to the editor (Brandon): We didn't jump on stage, Isis invited us on stage when she saw us doing the party girl dance, and admits to inviting us up on stage. Don't make things look worse than they really are.
Ohmigod you just got eRead by Misty Maven. I would never wash my monitor again.
