The Shortbus Sisters Premiers at TABU

So let us go back to the beginning... A few months ago TABU had asked me if I had any new ideas for a show or event, so I started to brainstorm.  After watching a couple of shows, I saw how funny Satine Harlow and Navaya Shay were when no one was watching.  I had an idea..stemming from Satine and Cherry's short lived youtube show "The Shortbus Diaries" I thought it would be hysterical if we took 3 funny and crazy performers who were drag sisters and put them in a comedic, crazy show together.  That's when "The Shortbus Sisters" were born!!  When I went to TABU with the idea, they were all for it!  Then we picked the date which just happened to be Phillydragopolis' one year anniversary!  The stars were all aligned!!
The night of the show the nerves were evident.  We had 2 big strikes against us, there was a huge thunderstorm going on outside AND it was the beginning of NYC Pride weekend!  But as the night went on people started filling the place!!  The crowd was greeted by our flirty Three Olives Loopy shot girls and our sexy Sweet revenge shot boys!   There were bubbles put out all over the bar, since they are Satine's favorite!  It was fun to watch all these adults running around the bar blowing bubbles!! HAHAHA
The show was filled with hysterical banter between the girls and even funnier themed numbers!!  From "I Found a New Way To Walk" which taught us the lessons of drinking and driving, to the girls spraying the crowd down with silly string in the finale number, "Put Your Grafitti On Me", the girls had the crowd laughing all night!!  The show had a very special guest for its premier, The Shortbus Driver, Ms Shirley Knott!!
I couldn't have asked for a better Anniversary Party!!  Stayed tuned because the show WILL be back in September as THE SHORTBUS SISTERS GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!
