Since We've Been Gone!!!

Yes my little drag hags Phillydragopolis is back!!!  Are you excited???  It's been a long time since I have posted anything on here and I have gotten a lot of people asking for the site to be back up and running.  I sincerely apologize, but I  have been so busy with my regular 9-5 job and now that I am DJing Sinful Sundays with the Goddess Isis, and Thank Goddess It's OMG (both at TABU) and producing and DJing DRAG WARS at Voyeur!  But I am back with a few new rules and regulations!  I will be posting regularly at least once a week (more if something absolutely juicy comes up) but here is where I need everyone's help....If you have an event or show to promote I want YOU to send me the art and an article!!  I will gladly post it!!  Just send it too brandon@phillydragopolis.com.  If you a viewer wants to write a review of a show for me by all means shoot me an email as well!

So let's see what has happened since I was gone....Let's just do some headlines

Probably one of the biggest headlines so far this year is...

BRITTANY LYNN'S DRAG MAFIA make history at the Mummer's Parade!  Brittany Lynn asked some of her best gal pals to create an all drag brigade to march in Philly's famous New Years Day parade followed by performances by each of the girls at the Convention Center!  Mrs. P, Brigette Jones, Mary D Night, Crystal Electra, Navaya Shay, Cherry Pop, Stella D'Oro, and Porcelain all performed while the main stage performers were setting up.  Stella D'Oro never looked better!

Drag Wars cycle 1 started a whole new dimension to drag competition shows and made stars out of Mercedes Monroe Casadine, Luna Lavay, Ann Artist, Cleo Phatra and winner Lady Poison!!  These girls are getting booked all over town so be on the look out!!  One of the biggest break out star came from new comer Ann Artist who had just started her Drag career with Drag Wars and quickly caught the eye of Porcelain.  Her outrageous performace pieces defintely shocked many but it was her finale number that won over anyone who wasn't originally a fan (myself included).  Lady Poison who won the competition amongst some controversy and a major stab wound, that sent her to the hospital right after the show, has been appearing all over the city since the show ended.  And Cleo Phatra, the fan favorite, stole the hearts of everyone in the audience with her elaborate costumes and live singing!

Brooklyn Ford who has taken Philly by storm with her over the top personality and performances took over for Misty Maven at Woody's Monday night event S&M.  A fight between Misty and Satine lead Misty to make the decision to leave the show behind.  Brooklyn bounced into the slot with a new tag line S&M:  Monday nights just got bigger!  With the audience bouncing from being packed to hardly anyone there it took a month hiatus in January and was retooled as an after party for whenever Rupaul's Drag Race is on.

ok ok drag hags I know sooooo much more has happened like how many times has Satine Harlow pissed off another queen and then become friends again?  But for now this was just a little recap of somethings that has happened....hey maybe my memory is getting bad!  But don't worry as the gossip comes flowing in I will be updating more often!  SEE YOU OUT AND ABOUT AT THE SHOWS!!!
