PhillyDragopolis.com Turns One!!

On June 22nd this website turns one year old!! The site started out as a creative outlet for me to start writing again, and I chose to write about drag shows that I seemed to find myself frequenting.  I never really thought many people would read it.  It turned into much more than sometimes I can even handle!!  From the beginning, when I would just take pictures on my phone, to now having the wonderful Jonathan Hernandez as a photographer and to even producing shows, I think the site has grown leaps and bounds!  Thank you to everyone who has given me love and support and to those who bitch and moan!!  I started this site because of my love for all the queens in the city and their hard work and dedication to entertaining us all!!  Whether some of them like me or not I will continue to write pieces I feel my readers want to see and that I want to write!  After all, this site is about my personal experiences in the drag world!  The Dragopolis has had many ups and many many downs over the past year (although I suspect you all love reading about the downs more! haha) but in the end its all about one thing...Go support these local artists!!! They may be dramatic, they may be divas, but one thing is for sure they are all talented individuals and deserve all the accolades they get!  So as we head into another year let's remember this... They are men in dresses (or in some cases women in suits) and they are here for your entertainment!!  In the words of Isis..."Don't just stand there and just holler...GIVE THAT QUEEN A FUCKING DOLLAR!!

COME AND CELEBRATE PHILLYDRAGOPOLIS.COM'S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT TABU JUNE 22ND AS WE PREMIER THE NEWEST SHOW I AM PRODUCING!!!  DOORS OPEN AT 8 AND THE SHOW WILL BEGIN AT 9!!  I WILL BE DJing!!!
