It's Drag...It's Burlesque...IT'S DRAGLESQUE!! On Friday, January 6th, nightlife producer and MC extraordinaire The Notorious OMG will debut a new, monthly variety show, “Thank Goddess it’s OMG!” at Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar. The inaugural show will include drag, burlesque, contortion, clowning, fire eating, and other daring acts of circus & sexuality. Doors open at nine and the show will start promptly at ten. The cover is $10.Hosted by The Notorious OMG, the show will include acts from The Goddess Isis, Miss Mary Wanna, Reverend Mackenzie Molotov, and Alejandro Dubois.
In the coming months audiences can expect acts from live singing to neo-vaudeville and everything in between. All that makes audiences bump & grind squirm & squeal, or shriek & laugh is fair game for this new show, each and every first Friday at Tabu.
The Notorious OMG – neither queen nor king, Philly’s finest genderfuck royalty has been called “supremely inappropriate and always luscious.” Raised in the great state of New Jersey by she-wolves known as menopausal, Jewish and Italian mothers, this MC will stun and titillate with dirty jokes and dirty jockstraps, leather, sequins, eye shadow, and fur, leaving audiences shouting “OMG!!!”
The Goddess Isis – This southern lady with a wicked wit has taken the Philly drag scene by storm. She is the producer and hostess of Tabu’s weekly show “Sinful Sundays with The Goddess Isis,” performs Wednesdays with The Dollhouse Review at Voyeur, and has been seen everywhere there’s makeup, wigs, and Pabst’s Blue Ribbon beer.
Miss Mary Wanna - with her curves or shedding the skin of delightfully crafted over-shares through short story telling, Miss Mary Wanna is certain to blow your mind and get you high.
Reverend Mackenzie Molotov is the Princess of Pain & the hardest working clown in show business. She will hypnotize helpless humans whiles she hula hoops with her hips and hands.
Alejandro Dubois - This masked man is a master of mysticism, mayhem, and the macabre and also a manipulator of fire. Through his travels he has learned many art forms and has fined tuned his craft on the coast of Coney Island, where he is known as the illegitimate great grandson of the legendary Harry Houdini.
