Half & Half at The Raven Lounge

One of Brittany Lynn's newest ventures with her new Drag Mafia is the show "Half and Half" at The Raven Lounge (now this is The Raven Lounge located on Sansom Street Philly NOT The Raven in New Hope).  It is called Half and Half because the primarily straight club is virtually split in half!  Down stairs there is a DJ playing amazing music with lots of people dancing.  But we are mostly concerned with the second floor!  The second floor is a smaller space but was packed with a very mixed crowd ready for a great show!  Brittany was behind the turn tables as every HALF hour 2 girls took to the stage (yes they have a stage with a stripper pole) to perform.  The show was full of energy and you could tell the crowd was really into the show!   This is most evident by the fact Jonathan, our resident Dragopolis photographer had a had time even getting close to the stage at times!  For their first time out this was a great show!  The girls got so into the show I think every one of them ripped off their wigs during their numbers!  Mrs. P's even ended up flying around the ceiling fan!  It was also a lot of fun to see Diana Dharling do some new numbers with pop influences!  Ginger Alley was crazy as usual which is always fun to watch on stage!  She is like a modern version of glam rock!  There were a few technical kinks that I am sure they will fix up for the next show.  I felt bad for Serena Starr who was singing live and the mic kept blanking out but she still looked fabulous and like a true performer kept going!  The show runs every first Friday of the month!!  Here are the pictures...
