WOW Performance of 2011!! - A New Poll!!

Attention all my little Drag Hags!!  It is time once again to have you vote on a poll!!
I have seen a lot of drag shows over the last year and these are the performance that made me say YYEEESSSS (with a finger wave)! Also it is based off of audience reactions. Now again like with the last poll I understand there are so many great performances I am just going off of my personal experiences! Sorry if someone you love to watch perform is missing from the list. But like the academy awards not every performer gets nominated! (and besides a month ago I asked for some suggestions).  Some Queens are nominated more than once, this in no way means I favor their performances more than any others they were just 2 moments that I feel their performances reached out and grabbed the audience!  I urge you to vote NOT for your favorite Queen but for the PERFORMANCE that most touched you!!  Happy Voting!!

The WOW Performance of the Year Nominees are...

Brittany Lynn- "Circle of Life" (Outfest 2011)  Always closing the show Brittany did her megamix standard that ends with her giving birth live on stage!!  This crowd pleasing number features high drama and tons of laughs!

Crystal Tee Electra - “Pink is the New Gaga” (OutFest 2011) Well this is what I named it! LOL With a mega mix of Pink and Lady Gaga she really got the crowd jumping and dancing! Which after a day of partying could be hard! But everyone in the audience went along for the ride!!

Diana Dharling - “Please Don’t Touch Me!” (OutFest 2011) Diana came out with a vengeance with this Diana standard! This was probably the best performance of that number to date! Filled with broadway like choreography and a toss of signed panties to the audience!!

Diana Dharling - “ I Want To Go To Hollywood” (Gayborhood Games) In probably one of the most anticipated performances of the year Diana was poised to make her big comeback at the Gayborhood games! With 2 sexy male back up dancers and of course a feather boa she performed her heart out like any Broadway diva would!

The Goddess Isis - “And I Am Telling You” (The Dollhouse Review) When they did the “Kiss My Black Ass” theme I don’t think anyone was prepared for this! When Isis came out doing this number I have never seen so many people crowd the stage to tip a queen! No queen has ever put so much emotion into this hard number like Isis!

The Lady Marissa - “Joan Rivers” (Bob & Barbara’s) When she first came out I was like “where is the song?” But this queen acted like Joan and was so in synch with the audio it blew me away!  This "number"was hysterical!

Mimi Imfurst - “Blow” (The Dollhouse Review) When Mimi came out in the caterpillar on the mushroom costume (and smoking a hookah pipe) the audience was blown away! When she transformed into a butterfly and the streamer cannons were blown the audience knew this show was something special!

Mimi Imfurst - “Kiss My Black Ass MegaMix” (Gayborhood Games) This crowd pleasing number at the gayborhood games was the only number to get a standing ovation! Filled with snippets from every strong black female artist including some white powder and Whitney!

Mrs. P - “Born This Way” (OutFest 2011) This emotionally charged number about anti bullying had everyone talking after the show! The overall theme was “Love Yourself” and was dedicated to those who lost their too short lives to bullying.

Mrs. P - “Someone Like You” (PhillyDragopolis.com Takes Over Sinful Sundays) Another emotionally charged number from Mrs. P. The first time Mrs. P did a serious number and it had people in tears. Proving that this queen finally found her heart!  Subsequently Mrs. P has done a lot more thought provoking numbers (aka Born This Way).

Navaya Shay - “GagaMegamix” (Drag Race Tour) When I gave this song to Navaya to perform I knew she would do a great job with it but I NEVER expected how amazing it would be! With a gorgeous Gaga inspired costume and 2 male back up dancers, she blew away the Drag race girls by far!

Navaya Shay - “Till the World Ends” (Gayborhood Games) Armed with her 2 sisters in sin Isis and Omyra Lynn, Navaya competed to win in her high energy, lots of boobs, performance! The costumes (designed by her) were spot on and so was the choreography!

Omyra Lynn - “If I Were A Boy” - (Sinful Sundays) Sitting on a chair and lip-synching can bore a crowd but with Omyra and all the emotion on her face it captivates the audience and when she strips down and wipes the make up off her face…you just get chills! Haunting and beautiful.

Omyra Lynn - “Jar of Hearts” (PD Takes over Sinful Sundays) With a white dress on Omyra powerfully portrays the painful emotion of this song unlike anyone I have seen! In the middle of the number for opens her robe to reveal her heart had been ripped out! Simply amazing!

Porcelain - “Dammit Janet” (The Dollhouse Review Rocky Horror) When Porcelain stepped onto the scene half way through the year a lot of us didn’t know what to do with her. But when this queen took over the role of Janet Weiss in the Dollhouse’s Rocky Horror Show Philly knew that Porcelain had arrived. In an unexpected twist Porcelain stole the show!

Salotta Tee- “Hairspray” (The Candy Shoppe) Salotta comes out looking just like Tracey Turnblad and does a mix of songs from the show Hairspray! Its funny and completely spot-on!  The audience totally sings along with this number!  She even wears the backpack!

Sandy Beach - “ Broadway Live” (Venture Inn) With her broadway cabaret show she did 2 numbers back to back that she sang live! So entertaining and so much fun to watch!  With her audience always on her side this classic diva always makes you laugh while entertaing you!  The legend…Sandy Beach!

Satine Harlow - "Thinking of You" (PD Takes Over The Dollhouse) Satine has always been known for a pop numbers and mostly Katy Perry.  Well this Katy Perry ballad was far from Satine's normal performances!  With her heart on her sleeve, Satine completely blew the audience away!  I even saw people who once said they were not fans....go and tip her!

Tammy Faymous  -“Proud Mary” (Gayborhood Games) Tammy was just starting to make a name for herself in Philly and she came out with a vegence. She sang live and had 2 back up queens! Armed with 3 huge confetti cannons she blew the audience away! She got so into the song the shoes had to come off!!

Believe me this was the hardest list I had to put together!! I know it will be even harder for you to vote!  The Queen with the most votes at the end will get a photoshoot and interview to be posted on this site.  Remember this is a fun poll so no need to take those earings off to battle it out!  Have fun my little drag hags and PUT THOSE PUMPS UP!!

***THERE IS ONLY 5 DAYS TO VOTE SO GET TOO IT!!
