The Candy Shoppe is CLOSED!

Tonight I went on Facebook and I was reading through posts as usual when I came accross a rather shocking one.  Salotta Tee host of Candy Shoppe at ICandy on Thursday nights said that this past Thursday was going to be the last of the drag shows run!  After 7 months of shows The Candy Shoppe is now closed.  Salotta posted "Because of the popularity of DRAG, ICandy Nightclub will be moving THURSDAY NIGHTS into a NEW DIRECTION!!!!! SOMETHING NEW YET LOTSA FUN!!!! "  
I actually don't quite understand the "popularity of DRAG" part because i go to a lot of shows and they are always packed!  Maybe Bob and Barbara's show which has been running for over 18 years (and always crowded) is too much competition for this newer show?  Maybe The Candy Shoppe just needed a reworking?  I guess we will never know!  We should take a moment of silence for this fallen show....
Well atleast now I won't have to chose between the 2 for my Thursday night drag fix! 

LADY SINGS THE BLUES NO MORE

In other drag related endings.  I just got confirmation that Brittany Lynn has ended her run as host of Yakatori Boy's Sunday night House of Drag-on!  She told me the parting was an "amicable decision by both parties".   But don't cry for Brittany Lynn...Onward and Upward!!  She just signed on to do shows at Luxx Lounge / Brass Rail in Atlantic City!  First show is Sunday November 27th!!
