The Most Down & Dirty Show in Philly!

I got the opportunity to go down into the lower sanctum of the Bob and Barbara's Drag show dressing room and it definitely did not disappoint!  As you can tell from the pictures they spare no expense it creating a dressing room fit for the queens of this fabulous dive bar on South Street!  Complete with unfinished walls and a tarp blocking one section of the tiny basement reading "DO NOT ENTER! THIS IS NOT PART OF THE DRESSING ROOM".  Believe me this room is so much smaller than you would think!  The smell of aerosol hairspray, sweat and duct tape permeate the room!  The things I saw in that room will be embedded in my brain forever!  The girls were uber fun and sassy!  The real party is definitely underground at B&B's!! You will get to see more of a sneak peek in a video as part of the "It's Always FUNNY in Philadelphia" webshow coming later this month!!
If you have never seen a show at Bob & Barbara's on Thursday nights at 10:30 it is an absolute MUST!!  It is the CATS of all drag shows, the grandmother, the staple, the longest running drag show in this Dragopolis!  It is also probably the most diverse especially when it comes to the audience!  Straight men, college girls, lesbians and gay men all gather round with their PBRs to watch these girls serve up the best and most outrageous numbers in the city!!  Frequent guests include Brittany Lynn, Karen Vonsay, Mrs. P, The Goddess Isis, and newcomer Alize-Beau Hennesey!  And of course the Hostess Miss Lisa Lisa not only is an amazing performer but serves up all the attitude you love!!!  If you are a virgin to the show or its your birthday she will pull you up on stage and make you dance for a free drink and t-shirt!!  So boys and girls, and boys who want to be girls, and girls who dress like boys...(you get the picture) come on out every Thursday for some down and dirty fun!!
